Since I have been slacking BIG TIME on the blog, pics are unedited and in random order. Prepare yourself; this is a long one.
Yep, it's vacation.
The day after we arrived, the kids were on cat radar.
Strategic cat calling at its finest:
Sophie trying to tempt the cats into her loving arms; however...
when she got one, the poor cat was left scared and confused.

After some practice, she got the hang of it.
When Sophie's tired, she lets everyone know.
Best. Candy. Ever.
A little checkers on the boat was a perfect solution for kids tired of fishing.
Brock annoying Ella to no end:
Goldenrod Sunset
Sand Monster
Brock fell asleep face down in the sand.
Cold from tubing.
Brock's 14-Pounder
Playing Target Catch with Brock
Daddy Playing Catch with Brock
I will never forget this night. The weather was perfect; just enough breeze to keep the bugs away. A clear star-filled sky lent to seeing my first shooting star! And then three more after that! Such a fun Elwood trip!

Randoms:
It's always a party at Party America.
This is probably the funniest text that I have ever gotten from Chad (and I get quite a few). I literally peed my pants when I read it.
Bragging just a little. ;) He actually tells me this a lot. <3
Saline County Fair
Scariest ride at the fair. Brock and I took the chance at it and survived! He is definitely my dare devil!
Brock seen Jaxson there, and they were inseparable the entire night.
The girls thought that the ferris wheel looked like so much fun until they were on it. I think they were both in tears by the time it reached the top. Each time around, they we yelling to get off. An hour later, there were right back on it laughing and having a blast.
This sheep kept "maaaing" at them. When they would "maaa," the sheep would "maaa."
They preferred the sheep over the goats.
The horseshoe tourney was a lot of fun again this year. Out of 13 teams, it ended up being Chad and Jason vs. me and Beau for the championship. Beau and I beat Chad and Jason once but lost the second game 20-22. So much fun! Can't wait for next year!
(Buttery spice cake with a smooth bourbon cream cheese frosting and caramelized bourbon drizzle)

We made the switch to a charcoal grill, and I don't think we will ever go back to gas. Nom nom nom.
