My flight is booked, and my runs are getting longer. I am getting more
and more excited to do the Kentucky Derby half marathon with my sister.
After each of my long runs, I am so proud of myself to have gotten a
little bit farther. I do, however, miss my treadmill and the great
books that I read while on it. But I think it's better to get mentally
prepared for the race by running without a book in my face because there
is not going to be a book during the race. So for this long run, I
took Harper with me, and I have to tell you, it was quite entertaining. I
was able to sing to her rather than to sing to myself, and I think she
really liked it. I now have a new running buddy. She did an awesome
job running at my side the entire time (other than frequent stops to
smell poo left on the trail and to pounce at passerby squirrels).
Completely unaffected by the 7-mile run. I think she could've easily gone another 20 more.
I, however, was not. So sore.

Brock's School Work
In his class, they go through their work as a class and are responsible for checking their own answers. I laughed when I saw this:
It's not okay, and it's not good; it's amazing.
"They tickled!"
We take her stuffed kitten with us to her appointments to remind her why we are getting the shots (to get kittens!).
Sparkle Kissing Her Ouchies
I had a podiatrist appointment to finally get my feet checked out (hereditary foot condition), and they suggested toe separators for the time being until I have surgery (hopefully next year!), so while I was getting ready for my run, I guess I was too excited to put in my toe separator in place that I forgot pants.
Looking at my phone a while later, I saw that Sophie had taken a picture of her legs just like she saw me taking a picture of mine.
Sophie Making Valentines
Whenever we get ready to go somewhere, Harper senses that someone is leaving and she is determined to go with them. If someone opens up the car to get something, she immediately jumps in. In this case, she managed to jump in without anyone knowing. We spent a half hour looking for her. Come to find out, she wanted to go for a ride.
