Easter 2026

It was the best feeling to have all of the kids home for Easter.  With Easter baskets on the counter filled with treats, it was time for the hunt.  Chad was in charge of hiding the eggs, so the kids knew they had some work to do to find the eggs.  This year, there was a prize egg at stake.  When the kids heard about the prize egg, their initial response was, "I bet there's 200 pennies in it."  But when I told them Dad was in charge of the prize egg, their response was, "Oh, then it's probably like $200."

Instructions of the Hunt
1. Parameters
2. Contents of the eggs: cash value & prize egg
3. Violence of any kind will result in fines

Patiently waiting...

And, they're off!

"Shuggie, take me to the prize egg."

Prize Egg

"I GOT THE PRIZE EGGGGGG!!!!"

She was so excited to get the prize egg, but when she opened it, she was saddened to find it was a "sharing egg."  Inside was an egg for each child with prize money value.  Chad ended up giving her a bit more for a "finder's fee."

There's still some eggs by the propane tank!

"That's my egg!!"
I think this might be a violation of Rule #3.

Collecting their bounty:
Ella got stuck with both of the cat coupons, so her fine was dismissed.
