our story: Getting Caught Up on Life

As I sit here on a Friday morning during summer break, I am determined to get the blog caught up, as it has been far too long. I think that yesterday I spent most of the day whining about how it's going to take forever to update the blog and how I've been putting it off, and Friday is the day -- the day it gets done. It pains me even as I type knowing how long of a process it is going to be. But, it's okay! Es ok. I told myself that I couldn't make a to-do list until the blog was done. So away we go! Let's get caught up on life!

Buttermilk Biscuits

Ella makes these AMAZING cheddar biscuits! She makes them quite often, and each time she does, Chad plays the song Buttermilk Biscuits by Sir Mix-A-Lot. It's hilarious!

RIP Tewy -- You were very much loved!

Chad had a pair of shorts that just looked enormous on him. Sophie and I tried to see if both of us could fit in them. We could, which proves our point that they need to be donated!

Wyatt got Ella a baby turtle (Franklin) from his pond. Franklin sat on our counter for two days looking sad at his Tajin Bottle Friend. He was lonely. Counter life is no life for a turtle. Sophie and I decided he needed to go back to his habitat to be with other swimmy creatures, so we plotted a return-to-pond adventure which took surprisingly a really long time. After driving in circles for what seemed to be hours, we decided on the perfect place to reintroduce Franklin back with his friends.
