Here we are on day # idon'tknowwhatdayitis, and we are finding great appreciation for the things that we have. I'd say we express gratitude daily, but more and more we find ourselves continuing to find that silver lining.
Ella created a cooking show on Snapchat. In this video, she made baguettes.
Cruise around Crete -- Where's Brock?
That's better!
More critters to add to the farm...
Wait...Brock can operate the tractor, but I can't?!?!
The girls love to get their nails done with Grandma. It is not something that I normally enjoy, but I made the exception. :)
Sophie's Spa
We are the very proud parents of six chickens and three ducks (Stormi, Sunni, and Gorshi)
The girls have been testing their kitchen creativity by making many different whipped concoctions.

So I guess on Snapchat, the youngsters send streaks to each other as a way to...um...I really have no clue. Anyway, when Ella sends me streaks, this is the photo I send back to her. It's only fitting. Disclaimer: Those are neither mine nor any other family members' streaks.

She's turning into a pretty good photographer. Definitely has an eye for it!

We have only been to Hooters once, and the time we went was with the entire baseball team. Needless to say, it was a very interesting dining experience for all kids. For Ella's cooking show, the girls made their own Hooters at home -- they stuffed their shirts and their bums with socks and other things (🤦) and had a lot of laughs with this one. They fried up all sorts of stuff! We were left with some belly aches after this meal!
They sure grow fast!
This is Chicky Baby (aka Redneck). She was pecked by the other chickens pretty badly on the back of her neck, leaving two peck holes and a lot of blood (hence the name Redneck -- from the kids). We took her out of the coop to heal and has become very attached to us. She's pretty spoiled.
Incognito May Day Deliveries
Perfect day for a nap!
Speaking of being spoiled, the bunch went all out for Mother's Day. I sure am a lucky girl!
Ella's made a giant card and homemade lavender candle:
Brock knows I love my chapstick!
Sophie made a Punch Out Scavenger Hunt for me:
Random fancy toilet paper makes me smile -- Ella does this one, and Sophie makes bows.
The girls and I LOVE watching this together. It's scary with how much of it is relatable. 😔 #teachablemoments
Popcorn and Pink Drinks
"On Wednesdays, we drink pink."
Movie quote...sort of. 😂
And lastly, tomorrow is the last day of school, which means no more remote learning and videos for my students. Although the year didn't end as expected, it doesn't discount the fact that we (my students and I) had an AMAZING year! I will miss them dearly, but I am comforted to know I will still see them around next year. We had a blast making daily Youtube videos, and I am ever-so-grateful to my kids for the ideas and help.
The last video goes to my NEW 3rd graders! It's my Meet the Teacher video that was sent to my new class! I hope that the new school year brings just as much excitement and joy as this one did! Adios, Burritos!
