Thanksgiving 2019

The girls wanted to make cake pops.  "How hard could it be?" they thought.  The visions of perfectly crafted cake pops swam circles in their imaginations...
Once they began, things quickly took a turn for the worse.  As a baker/mom, when you hear the words we don't need a recipe on something like a cake pop from your teenage/preteen daughters when making them for the first time, you tend to just make the most out of the remainder of the day by finding a remote hiding place, putting your noise-cancelling headphones on, and pray that they both survive and the kitchen is still intact.  Do not, and I repeat DO NOT, come out until all is right with the world.
Needless to say, there were only a few tears shed.  And although they may look a little rustic, they tasted wonderful!

Thanksgiving at Grammie and Papa's
Since they spent the majority of their time on their phones at Grandma and Grandpa's, they were forced to interact with the living at our next Thanksgiving -- sans technology.

They know to go to the weak one...
