What Happened to September?!?!

Once the school year begins, it seems that everything goes in fast-forward.  From mid-August until now has been a continuous blur, and we are just now able to catch a breath between sports (for a couple of weeks, at least).  Here are some things to catch you up on what has been happening at the Heusinkvelt homestead.

Chad and Loyd won their flight of match play in the Member/Member golf tournament.

First hole of the Horse Race where everyone lines the fairways.  One team gets eliminated per hole until a winner is declared.  Chad and Loyd made it to Hole 8 and ended up getting 3rd place.

I received my 5-year service award this year.  Looking forward to many more years doing what I love to do!

Dad was showing Sophie how to hit the volleyball.  He then told her that if she could hit it better than him, he would get her ice-cream.  Sophie won.  :)

Ella's first year of volleyball went really well.  She wasn't going to try out for it, but the day before tryouts, her health teacher convinced her to try it.  Thank goodness she did because Ella has found a new favorite sport!  It was fun to watch her play this season, and we look forward to watching more of her games in the future.  Sophie also participated in volleyball this year through camps, and volleyball continues to be her favorite, as well.
