When your alarm clock goes off on the morning of a snow day, you are automatically granted surplus energy and happiness as you look forward to unexpected downtime. This holds true for me and the kids on a snow day. These days are waaay more productive than a weekend because you feel like you've been given a little gift that lasts approximately eight hours and expires shortly after exhaustion hits at its normal time of 5:37 p.m.. Here are some things that occupied our time on our first snow day of the year:
Mom: blueberry muffins for breakfast, walls mudded, sanded, and painted, and laundry done!
Ella and Sophie: making bath bombs, cleaning up bath bomb mess, creating a fort, cleaning up fort mess, baking and decorating a two-layer "wedding cake," cleaning up cake mess, and hopes to make cookie dough and cotton candy but ran short on time.
Brock: self explanatory...
On a side note, he did have his 8th grade dance. Him and his friends had a blast!
