The girls and I had the Thomas Rhett concert planned for a while, and as the date approached, a flood of anxiety hit me. It's going to be dark. It's going to be late at night. It's just going to be me and the girls. I get tired sooooo early. It's pretty far away from home. I don't know where I am going or where to park! Ahhhh!
Chad, being the sweet and wonderful man he is, recommended that we stay in Omaha that night so that he can take us and pick us up to ensure we are all safe and we get to where we are supposed to be. Carter and Blake were able to come along, which made it way more fun for Brock and Chad. They were able to have a boys night while the girls were away.
Off to Omaha!
Ready for the show!
At the Concert
We were able to see Walker Hayes and Old Dominion before the main show. It was so cute because although we had seats that could be considered nose bleed seats, Ella said that she loved where we were sitting, was ever-so-grateful that we were able to go, and couldn't stop smiling the ENTIRE time. She said that this was the best day of her life.
"Look, Mom! I can see Walker Hayes' face!" as she holds up a picture of him on her iPod. She definitely has a sense of humor!
Thomas Rhett
She sang EVERY SINGLE SONG, and I don't think I have ever seen her smile so big or as often as she was when watching him. I thought to myself that I never want to forget how happy she was in this moment.
While the girls are away, the boys will play! Chad spoiled the boys with fishing equipment and junk food. When he came to pick us up, Blake was passed out in the back gripping a bag of Cheetos.
The concert was totally Ella's cup of tea; however, Sophie was not a big fan of the large crowd and loud music. She was a big fan of a birthday breakfast in bed the next morning!
