Our first Elwood trip of the year was very different from year's past. The fish weren't biting like we had anticipated, so it made for some crazy, hair-pulling-out, oh-my-gosh-I-want-to-scream, interesting moments.
The kids began their 2nd annual hot chip challenge where they try to consume a bag of hot chips by the time vacation is done.
Along with eating the hot chips, the kids were definitely replenishing their daily water intake.
Sopbie's 9-Pound Catfish!
Daddy teaching her how to hold it:
After a while of no bites, Sophie focused her attention to the cotton pods.
Mustache!
Driving Miss Ella
Fishing Off the Dock
According to Sophie, you MUST put your feet in the water.
Time for the beach!
Wreck-It Brock
Back at the cabin, the kids found the resort bunny. The chase began to capture the mysterious critter.
They never did capture it. Smart bunny.
What happens when the kids help me patty the burgers:
Back on the boat:
Waving to Uncle Loyd and Ethan
We caught a lot of Tree Fish.
Cotton was everywhere!
The catch of the evening:
When the fish stop biting the...
crazy...
sets in.
Trying to avoid the camera:
When we got back home, it was time for some slip n' slide action!
Froggy wants to ride!
Time to race. Notice how competitive Brock is and how Sophie really isn't.
It's do or die for Brock. I think Sophie let him win.
Froggy's House
Sugar stayed away. She's not too fond of water.
