Hunting Adventure

Brock had Jacob over for a day and a half, and in that time, the boys were all about hunting.  On Friday afternoon, it began as collecting supplies for their hunting adventure, in which we found some glow sticks, scent-away, head flashlights, a utility tool to make spears, hunter's orange, and a bow.  The boys packed their bags and set out into the trees to find Ol' Mossy.  They tracked down to Dad's tree stand where they "seen" a 6x5 along with deer, rabbit, and coon tracks.  After spending the day out in the wilderness, they came in for some hot cocoa and then set back out toward sunset.  Over dinner, plans were made for the next morning to rise around 4 a.m., track and scout for a while, and then sit for an hour or so.  The boys were up at 6:30 with their hunting gear on ready to face the wilderness again.  They returned an hour later with claims of spotting the same buck and more tracks.  Their plans for the rest of the day include taking out the rattling horns to call in the deer and set the coon traps with marshmallows and tuna in hopes to catch a big one.
