The Talk

As interesting as our dinner-time conversations usually are, this conversation tops the cake by far.  In a relaxing round-about talk of recent happenings in our lives, Brock began talking about if his future wife would have his last name.  Randomly, Ella brings up that she doesn't want her tummy cut if she has a baby.  I looked and Chad, and he looked at me with eyes saying that now was the time...the time for "the talk."  So then it came, the talk with anatomically correct words of what happens when a woman has a baby.  The kids took it rather well, which led to the question of how babies are made.  Bum, bum, bum.  Brock said that he knew how they were made, and we asked him how.  He said that babies are made by kissing, in which we told him that that was not the case; however, we will have that talk when they get a little bit older.  He then started giggling and then said, "Ohhhhh, I know how they are made, but I'm not saying it." as he was walking away from the table laughing.  *sigh*
