Millions and Millions of Blog Posts!

Not literally millions and millions of blog posts, but that is definitely how it feels.  So much has been going on in our "Heusinkvelt bubble" that it just seems like we are traveling at warp speed.  We have been working on the house and finally got it painted.  It looks super spiffy, but I will be more excited for the day when we put siding on and never have to lift a brush (or sprayer) again.
Whoever it was that said painting a house with a spray gun was easy was obviously lying.

Be mad at it.  :)

Sophie has been loving her undivided attention during the day, but the only downside is she has no other company during the day other than Mama, so we think she might have a tough time adjusting to school when that day arrives.  But for the time being, I don't mind her being my baby.

Her Painting of "Chocolate"

Ella started gymnastics this year instead of dance class, and she constantly tells me how much better gymnastics is than dance.  She is super strong, so gymnastics suits her well.  Not to mention that her best gal pals on in gymnastics with her.  :)
First Day of Gymnastics

Brock has been practicing with his bow and bb gun, and he is becoming quite the good shot.  Uncle Adam brought over some clay pigeons, and Brock is able to aim and shoot them without a problem.  He is even able to shoot the small chunks that Dad will toss up.  Him and Daddy have been regularly going into the Woodchuck Barn to shoot pigeons.

Serious Face

Harper has been finding a lot of horse poo in which she decided is her new favorite snack.

"I'm going to ride your bike, Mom."

There's no place like home...

Sophie is quite fond of her new "bathroom."

Dear Woodchuck,
We will find you, stuff you, and mount you on the door of our barn.

This is what Sophie does every time she is done with her shower.  She sits under the faucet letting the warm dribs fall on her.

It's YOU, Mrs. SHOE, with a SHOE on your head.  Oh, how lovely YOU and your SHOE are!
Yes, I am anything but ordinary, and my daughter must suffer, for she is blessed with my abnormality.  ;)

BROOOOOOOOOOCK!

"Brock, it's time to take a shower."

Puppy Love

Uncle Adam convincing Sophie that she only gets cake if she takes a shower without any fits.

This is the picture Ella made when she was coughing up mucus.  Poor, girl.  It's a picture of her vomiting.

Sick with Queezy Cheeks

Picking apples from our apple tree to make apple strudel.  Brock had to try and get the biggest one.

He actually asked me to take his picture.  ???

First Apple Harvest

Brock has been bringing home cookbooks that he checks out at school on a regular basis.  Together we search the book, and he can pick out a recipe that he wants to make for the week.  First it was a smoothie, and then it was puppy cupcakes.  The kids had a blast with it and did an awesome job!

With the leftovers I made a cupcake amalgamation.
"WHAT THE HECK, MOM?!"
I can't remember which one said it.

Ella has been requesting to get bangs for the longest time, so the time finally came.

She loves her bangs!

Spent an hour in the bathroom doing her hair.  She even woke up the next morning asking if her bangs were still there.

Sophie, on the other hand, didn't feel quite the same way about her bangs.  Thank goodness for bobby pins!

First loaf of bread this year.  Pumpkin bread!  Thanks for helping, Soph!

This is just one of many posts.  More to come!
