Minnesota 2012

The vacations to Minnesota just get better and better as the years go by.  It's fun to reflect on the changes in the kids from last year's trip.  I can only guess that next year will be even better!

Ella's Muskee

Ella was the first one to hop in!

My only job was to make sure that the anchor held.  I guess I was too busy taking pictures to notice that the anchor, in fact, did not hold.  Oops!

Daddy getting in the boat.

Almost...
wait a minute...

Yay!

A sea shell! (aka white shiny rock)

Canon Ball!

Mama's turn to race the kids (on Brock's bike).

Each time I would start, the chain would fall off.  Brock and Ella beat me every time!

Simon Says

I think his eyes were a tad bigger than his stomach!  Silly, perch!

Black Sparkle Rock

The girls were very impatient in trying to blow the dandelions, so if all else fails, rip the seeds out with your hand.

He's fine until he knows I'm taking his picture.

Even holding a fishing pole, she still poses.

Kid Lock-Out Time!

Biking down the BIG hill

Ella's bike doesn't have a kick-stand, so when Sophie parks her bike (with training wheels) she throws it down on the ground like Ella's.

That is Ella's "scream" face in the majority of the pics.

It's no vacation without fried chicken legs!

(tra-fuuuullllll-da-gad)

After Sophie dropped her other pole in the water, we got her this super-cool Dora pole that floats.  It took a half hour before the reel was tangled beyond repair.

When we asked Ella to not touch the thistle, what does she do?

Such a nice picture until...

Warning:  Do not allow your chocoholic 3-year-old child to run with a marshmallow poker that is incredible hot in the dark while you hold the chocolate.
