 Someone had apparently stolen all of the marshmallows out of the Lucky Charms, so Sophie felt compelled to add her own marshmallows.

In learning about President's Day, this week's lesson touched briefly on the Civil and Revolutionary War.  After telling the kids about the wars and the presidents who led them, I read the story Apple Pie ABC (to introduce the letter A -- the next part of the lesson).  After I was done with the story, I had the kids draw a picture of their own MOST DELICIOUS apple pie, and this is what Ella drew:

In the story we read, a puppy is after a bite of the apple pie.  So Ella drew a picture of President Shauna leading the apple pie fight.  As you can see, it is dogs vs pies.

This is usually her spot on the counter where she sits.  On this particular day, she had a fever.
