Hiller Easter Dinner

As Heidi says, "Ribs and sourdoughs are the mid-westerner's flair on fried chicken and waffles." The ribs and sourdoughs were accompanied by sausage, potato salad, baked beans, chips, beer, Kessler, and pineapple upside down cake. I had a fruit salad in the fridge that never did make it out. So sorry you couldn't join us! =(
Ella made the potato salad as well as the pineapple upside down cake. This was a very special cake because it was my first cake from scratch, and it was so fun making it with Ella. Am I crazy to say that I prefer the taste of boxed cake mix better? I do. I definitely do.

Easter with the Heusinkvelts
The bottom right-hand corner is a picture of the candy thief. She regularly takes other people's candy and goes somewhere out of sight to eat it. She did this with an entire bag of Ella's candy.
