And the Smell of Polyurethane Still Lingers

Things have been pretty crazy around our house lately. We had our floors re-done, and since that started, the house has been a DISASTER! We are finally starting to piece it back together, and in the midst of playing musical chairs with the rooms, we moved our bedroom (again!). We found ourselves upstairs again with the kids and moved the toy room downstairs by the kitchen. Now we have three rooms downstairs that aren't really being used except to admire the shiny floors. But you better watch out for the floor police (Daddy)! Hee hee! =)

We are getting ready for Brock's birthday, golf tournaments, and the circus, so we have got a busy schedule for the next couple of weeks. And be sure that next time you see Brock you give him a big pat on the back for moving up to 1st grade reading! Way to go, Brock!

My Hy-Vee Cookie
Happy Birthday to ME! Thanks, Honey!
This cookie was finished in less than 24 hours (new record). I did share...but only a little bit! =)
Last year, I tried to freeze some of it in hopes to not eat it all and it would last longer. Didn't work. I ended up just eating frozen cookie and being mad that it was frozen.

Finished Product
Sophie kept running through the rooms when they were finished. She did this non-stop for at least 15 minutes.
We spent the nights in the house as the floors were being re-done. I don't know if it was the fumes from the poly, but everyone was feelin' a bit giggly!
