Fear No Crayon

When inspiration...

comes to life!We were part of the Fall Festival Parade this weekend. This year was the 50th anniversary.  It was fun to be a part of the festival, and the kids had a blast dressing up, playing games, and winning prizes. Although proud of the costumes, Chad wasn't too pumped to be a big red crayon, but he did it for me, and he is the most handsome red crayon I've ever seen!
Brock won a goldfish at one of the game booths, so we now have a goldfish, Goldie. He wants to put her on a fishing pole to use for bait, but Daddy convinced him and Ella that we'll see how she does in the bowl first.
After the parade, we came back home for nap time, then we went out to Uncle Ken's to watch the Husker game. There was wonderful food and great company out there. The kids had the best time ever (as they always do) running around with their cousins.

Sunday, we tied up some loose ends around the house. Our garden is coming to an end, which means SALSA TIME! We have Michael and Lisa's wedding this weekend, but we might manage to squeeze in a few batches after that. We'll see how everything goes. Anyway, we're starting to remove plants from the garden in order to prepare for winter, and we are getting lots of new ideas for what to plant next year. I'm so excited!

Canning the last batch of tomatoes.Grammie got these fun suckers for the kids. She also brought over a pumpkin pie for the kids to decorate. The pie is gone now, and I bet you can guess who ate it. =(Kisses! When Sophie attacks...Ella's towerI have some cute videos to post and will do that as soon as they are done uploading. =)
