Deconstruction
We are so used to demolition that deconstruction seems to make me so impatient. Just tear it down! Rip it to pieces! Knock it over! Ideally, we would; however, we are working with some serious rough sawn boards and barn wood we would like to salvage. We are pretty certain that each of the boards and beams used to build this shed were cut from the sawmill that Chad's great uncle had at the back of the property (some of it still remains). Very cool!
Chad intends to build a steel garden shed to replace this one. Hopefully by winter, we will have the beginnings of a new garden shed!

SLEEPOVER!
Goat Show
After the goat show, we spent the majority of the day at the pool. We then ended up going to the midway that evening, and it was such a blast! I got a bracelet this time with the kids, so I was able to experience death defying rides with all of them! It was also pretty neat that I seen some of my school kids there, and I was able to ride rides with them, too! Such a fun day!

Summer Lovin'
A little sewing project for my classroom.
Chair pockets! Let's cross our fingers that they fit on the chairs.
Kolaches - Part One
This was my first time making kolaches, and I had a very determined helper to assist me through the process. I am not a big fan of cherry ones (my heart belongs to poppy seed), but my cherry-lovin' family assured me that they were scrumptious. :)

Front Porch Sittin'
There is nothing more that we enjoy than sitting on the porch. Tonight it's just Sophie, me, and the pups. The air is calm, Sophie is hopped up on homemade brownies, the big tree is still, there's a little something in my water, and the melodies from my spotify summer lovin' playlist keeps us smiling.
Love. This. Life.
Happy Birthday, 'Merica!
4th of July
Oh, don't worry. I will watch them.
There goes my plans to go for a nice jog.
(internal giggle because I am the only one laughing)
On your marks...
Get set...
Go!
Kickin' the Crackers
One of my all-time favorites...the parachute!
Found it!
All the while, Brock is fishing for frogs.
He never seems to come up empty handed.
He had some spectators looking out of the window.
Spency didn't know what to think.

Everything is cute in baby form. Everything except for cockroaches, that is.
Buncha Balloons! Do they really work?
Oh, no! The cooler is leaking!
"It's such a beautiful day to..."
"Attack!!!"
Did somebody say war?
Can she make it away from him in time?
Missed!
Sophie is having so much fun until...
Terror strikes!
The balloons were very difficult to break, so essentially, you had to throw them really hard in order for them to break. Suffice it to say, everyone was terrified of Brock.
Run, Ella, run!
Into the garage she went. All the while, Brock waited patiently for her exit.
Apparently, he wasn't patient enough.
Hiyah! Ninja kick!
She successfully escaped the balloon of pain.
We need more balloons!
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
She went after Brock with this balloon and missed.
Revenge
It got to the point where it was easier to squish the water balloons over the victim's head to ensure they would get wet.
Little did Sophie know that when she got Ella wet...
She would be pelted seconds later.
Ella still wasn't satisfied, so...
Ella was feeling pretty good, but unbeknownst to her, someone was lurking behind her.
Not just one balloon...
but two! And it wouldn't break!
Dad had found a balloon and twisted it to the point of popping. He was saving it for someone special.
Brock was the lucky target.
When water balloons fail you, you use the next best thing.
Sophie began to feel targeted. No matter where she went, she couldn't escape the constant terror of permeating pain.
Everyone was out to get her.
And they would NOT stop.
Sophie...
SNAPPED!
Unpoppable Red Balloon
Notice how Brock's frustration grows.
Finally!
So mad because of the red balloon!!!
Mini Rampage
Dad had a plan.
Strategizing with Daddy
Boomer was happy to be out of the action.
One last balloon. Hmm...
