Classroom Cupcakes

For Pumpkin Day at school, not only did we spend all day tearing apart pumpkins, learning about all of their parts, measuring them, counting their seeds, and writing about them, we also made pumpkin cupcakes!  The kids had a BLAST with this, as each group of four students was able to make their own double dozen.  That meant that they each got six cupcakes to take home to their families.  It was so much fun, and at the end of the day, we were all exhausted!

Ingredient Station

Halloween 2016

After watching the full season of Halloween Wars on Food Network, the kids were inspired to make creepy creations of their own.
Pumpkin Carving

This was the winner for most creative:

First place for the most wounds:

And first place for the best teeth:

Huh.  That's where my tweezers went.

The creepiness from Halloween Wars continued into their inspiration for their costumes.  We had a whole bunch of creepy this year.

First Quarter Celebration

First quarter is finished at school, and now we are on to second quarter!  It will be Christmas before you know it!  We celebrated with our traditional post parent/teacher conference get-together.

Goatie Girls -- Adventures in Livestock

Pen Preparation

Bailey AKA Nips

Hersheys
Or...Hershey Squirt as I like to call her.

I'm so bummed this came out blurry.

Grammie had to feel the goats.

She was very adamant about Papa feeling the goats against his will.
This is what you get:
Now, we need a livestock protector -- maybe a llama, or a donkey, or a captain crusader mini pony with glitter feet.
