Spring Mashup 2023

The kids and I always joke about me being "cool."  There was this one time where Sophie called me cool, and as soon as she said it, she took it back, but that doesn't change the fact that it was said at one time with meaning.  For a very, very brief moment, I was cool.  So for my birthday, I was so surprised to get this beautiful cookie cake to celebrate my 41st year.  Turning 41 has never felt better when I have the sweetest kids like this! Just kidding; I bought this cookie myself.  😔

Birthday supper at my favorite restaurant ever!

When they start talking sports, things tend to get a little heated.  We end up being like this...

Brock made it on TV from the student section where he flashed the camera "the shocker" for the whole world to see.  *sigh*

We thought it would be family thing...

As with most "good ideas", Mom and Dad are usually the ones to see it through.

Brock's 18th Birthday

As a parent, you know this day will come when your babies grow up, but how did this happen so fast?!?!  Seems like just yesterday you were starting preschool, shooting bb guns, and trying to lose your teeth before going into 2nd grade.  Yes, I have shed a lot of tears leading up to this day wondering where the time has gone.  We have appreciated each and every moment with you.  Wow!  What an awesome man you are turning into.  Dad and I couldn't be more proud. We love you, Brock!

Happy 18th Birthday!

Golf Season Has Begun!

The first invite of the season in Seward was pretty intense to watch. Brock ended his round with a low score of 73. He tied for first place and headed into a playoff round — meaning the first one to win a hole wins. The first hole was a par 5, and they tied. The second hole was a par 3, and his competitor’s first shot landed right on the outside of the green, chipped it to about 10 feet from the hole and missed his putt for par. Brock’s shot landed him in the trees to the left of the green. His chip shot landed within three feet of the hole, and he was able to sink the putt for par.  He placed first individually and the team scored first, as well. It was such a fun day of golf!

Grammie made sure to stay by the trees for safety.
