Brock's 16th Birthday
Watch out, bicyclers and pedestrians! This kid is 16! He did NOT want his picture taken when I surprised him "Grandma Style." Oops! He will have to settle for me putting a star over his face.

After our weekend supper with Grandma and Grandpa, we headed to Omaha to celebrate some more. Chad took Brock, Mason, and Jacob to Top Golf, while I took the girls to the mall and to Cheesecake Factory. We all crashed at a hotel, and everyone had a blast! Not sure how many hours of sleep the boys got (said they went to bed around 2:00), but when we got home the next day, Brock slept for hours upon hours.
During quarantine last March, Chad introduced Brock to golf. They went out quite a bit, and he fell in love with the sport. Since golf is played during baseball season, Brock knew he had to make a hard choice. He chose to pass on high school baseball to play golf with the intention to play legion baseball during the summer months. We will see what the summer months hold, but he really loves golf and basketball, and he has plans to potentially focus more on those this summer.
I have never truly seen someone first-hand eat, sleep, and breathe a sport. Right now, that is golf for Brock. When he wakes up, he goes golfing. When he comes home from golfing, he eats and then goes to hit range balls. When he gets done doing that, he comes home and practices in the yard. After supper, he heads back out to the course. Today, he managed to golf 9 holes in the morning with Chad, have lunch with Grandma and Grandpa, go to the lake to try out some fishing but had no luck, so he twisted Dad's arm again to go back to the course after supper for another 9 holes.
