13-Year Anniversary
For this year's anniversary, we each took two days off of work to spend with each other. We spent our days in Omaha for some shopping errands, back at the farm doing house projects, and drawing up our wainscoating plans. We are finally ready to tackle our wainscoating project! It was so wonderful to spend uninterrupted time with each other. The kids also loved the fact that we were home when they came home from school. They also got special breakfast each day that we were home. What a wonderful anniversary!
Ella's new spot to read, relax, or sleep:
Happy 13, Honey!
How I love thee; let me count the ways.
Wainscoating!
Pretending like he is the one that drew it up...
It was two days filled with laughter and love. Cheers to you, Honey, to many, many more!

Our Crazy Conglomeration of Life
She has been working so hard at getting rid of her front teeth. Finally!
She loves to stay busy. You won't catch this girl watching TV or sitting around. She likes to stay busy doing whatever she can.
First, a little painting.
Next, maybe a little sewing.

Classroom Cupcakes
For Pumpkin Day at school, not only did we spend all day tearing apart pumpkins, learning about all of their parts, measuring them, counting their seeds, and writing about them, we also made pumpkin cupcakes! The kids had a BLAST with this, as each group of four students was able to make their own double dozen. That meant that they each got six cupcakes to take home to their families. It was so much fun, and at the end of the day, we were all exhausted!

Halloween 2016
After watching the full season of Halloween Wars on Food Network, the kids were inspired to make creepy creations of their own.
Pumpkin Carving
This was the winner for most creative:
First place for the most wounds:
And first place for the best teeth:
Huh. That's where my tweezers went.
The creepiness from Halloween Wars continued into their inspiration for their costumes. We had a whole bunch of creepy this year.
