Brock's 10th Birthday

Birthday Doughnut from Daddy

After school, Brock had to do a scavenger hunt to find his gifts.  The last of which was the biggest, and it was hiding in Dad's truck.

Found It!

The Birthday Party

I think the Birthday song went something like this...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, YOU LIVE IN A ZOO, YOU SMELL LIKE MONKEY...or something like that.

What's happening with these candles?

THEY WON'T BLOW OUT!

Maybe a little help will work...

They then got to the point where they were just removing the flaming candles and placing them on the table, so Mom and Dad had to step in to control the flaming cookie.

Presents

Last time Jacob was over, Chad would not let the boys use his hatchet, so Jacob found this the perfect opportunity to get Brock his own hatchet for them to use at their leisure.

Brock raked in quite the cash load, and his friends kept telling him to "make it rain".  It was hilarious.  Brock casually says, "I am NOT going to make it rain."

The boys spent the entire time playing basketball, football, and hide-and-go-seek.  They had so much fun, and Brock was exhausted when everyone left.  I think he had a quick rest, and then he was back out shooting hoops again.

Sophie's fort in the back of Dad's truck:

You can't have a fort without ratchet straps.

Or deer antlers.

 Mama's birthday flowers from Grammie:

We keep plugging away at the house projects.  We are finally at the point where we have ordered our fireplace, picked out our stone, and are getting the supplies ready to frame it!  YAY!  We have also lined up central heating and air to be installed in the next couple of weeks.  Climate control...sweet, sweet climate control.  :)

We are also in the process of selecting our floor, and I underestimated the difficulty of it.  We have been looking at flooring for the last couple of weeks, making decisions about flooring, changing our minds about flooring, ordering flooring, canceling the order because we are unsure, getting samples, and now we are back to square one searching for the right floor.  UGH!  I think we have it narrowed down, but at this point, all flooring is starting to look the same.

Sophie is pretty handy.  She has become a pro at fixing her own bike chain when it falls off.

Harpie was pretty tired from the party, too.

Ready to ride her motorcycle (bike with water bottle on her tire)
