Diamonds 2014

Quite the coincidence that Brock's first game of the season was against his former teammates of Denton on their turf.  It was so nice seeing all of the friendly faces, and both teams played a really good game.

Spring Things

Along with planting fruit trees this spring, we also planted 6 blue spruce trees.
Ignoring Chad's warning about these trees being prickly, I planted them all on a day that he was at work wearing my usual tank top and shorts.  Suffice it to say, my whole body looked like this:

Lesson learned.

Cup Stacking
This was beginning to be a favorite past time of the kids'.  They would be eager to get the cups out after school to start stacking.  It was only after a solid week of screams and name calling as to who had them first, who took them from so-and-so, and many failed attempts at regulating some sort of cup-stacking-schedule that I threw them away.  ALL OF THEM.  Fun memories while it lasted.  ;)

There's just something to be said about a wish.

Lots more posts to come.  Stay tuned!  :)

Wyoming 2014

My parents, brother, and kids headed to Gillette, Wyoming to celebrate the life of my Grandpa Dick.  He left me with such fond memories from my childhood as well as during my adult years.  He will be missed greatly by all.  The 12-hour drive there and back was a great way to reminisce and reconnect with family, and the kids did surprisingly good for being in the vehicle for over 24 hours within a three day span.

 Looms!

Grammie's Scary Selfie
Immediately when the picture snapped, Grammie screamed and threw my phone back at me.
(Brock is shocked that Grammie is attempting a selfie)
