When we were at Walmart, we were doing our normal shopping thing, and when we rounded the corner, we saw the big pink bunny standing there staring at us. Brock kept asking "Why is the man in the bunny suit staring at us?". Needless to say, it was an interesting experience. ;)
Shaving Cream Easter Eggs
The gloves they tried to wear just got in the way.
Ella concentrated so hard on making her swirls just right. It paid off with some very beautiful eggs!
Brock's Camo Swirl
When the kids first began, they were so excited to use the shaving cream and food coloring that they squirted as much as they could into their pans and just started dumping and mixing the food coloring, so the result was pretty much a lot of this:
Wiping off the shaving cream:
Such a sun worshiper!
Harper was all about the boiled eggs. Every time I wasn't paying attention and then turned back around to look at her, there was an egg with a little less shaving cream on it. She waited very patiently for the perfect opportunities.
As far as the eggs are concerned, I think the majority of the dye ended up inside of the egg rather than outside. This didn't stop the kids from eating them; however, I was a little relieved when they only ate one, and Harper ate the rest after the egg hunt.
Peeling the Egg
Sophie's Green Egg
Oh! Yummy!
Hmm...interesting.
Well...
Wait a minute...
Yeah, it's okay.
Um, maybe not.
No, it's definitely okay!
Brock didn't feel the same way.
Easter Morning
Ella seeing her "high heels" that the Easter Bunny brought.
Ready for the hunt!
All of the eggs were hidden throughout the seven acres. Keep in mind that the kids are used to the egg hunts in which require little to no hunting, so this was a challenge for them. After a two-hour hunt, they found the majority of the eggs and were exhausted! They had a blast and are looking forward to next year!
First found egg! ;)
Coffee on the Porch
Such a perfect Easter morning!
Harper was an excellent boiled egg finder! She found and ate the majority of the boiled eggs.
There were moments when they didn't know what to do next.
When hiding the eggs, I was tossing the eggs here and there and caught myself about to throw an egg under a locust tree. Ouch! That wouldn't have been good!
Sophie had a tummy ache.
But it's all better now!
Ready for Easter with the Heusinkvelts!
I told Soph that she looked so pretty in her dress, and that is all it took for her to start peeling off her sweater to show off her dress.
She couldn't get it off fast enough!
Sammy and her scooter.
Ella's High Heels
Sophie waited so patiently for the pogo stick while the adults played with it.
Throwing out candy!
Red Rover
(Ella and Sophie didn't partake in this activity)
Red Rover Gone Wild!
This hunt was a lot easier than ours at home!
Sophie's Loot
"Sophie, can you share your eggs with me?"

Making Donuts!
When enforcing the "no dog on the couch" rule, Harper finds any blanket or pillow to lay on, and she ensures that she can fit her entire body on whatever she is laying on. Here she is laying on two pillows.
We have begun the drywall finishing process! Sophie's room is finished and primed, and I am currently working on Ella's room. I am so excited to put color on the walls and start decorating!

Funny quote from Sophie:
"Mommy? Is it okay if I use the scissors? I won't cut my bangs."
