Ella's 6th Birthday

For the last few weeks when her present was under the tree, she was so excited about the "big box." She kept trying to guess what was in it, and I would tell her that it starts with an "S" for surprise. So the anticipation finally came to a peak when she was able to open it on her birthday.

For supper, Ella wanted to go to the Valentino's "Vegas" buffet, so that is where we went. The entire family joined us, which made it extra special for Ella. Such a fun time! After Val's, it was time for some cake!

Winterlude Festival

This year in town, there were tons of activities for the kids for the holiday season. Our day started with breakfast with Santa in which Sophie was the only one that would go near him. After breakfast, we went to the park where they had horse and carriage rides, train rides, hot chocolate, music, dancing, and library story-time and crafts. The kids kept saying how it was the best day of their life. I have to admit that it was a pretty fun day for Mom and Dad, too!
