Yowza!

Well, Daddy has been teaching Brock how to ride his bike without training wheels. He has been doing great and can ride for about half a block before falling over. Haven't quite mastered stopping just yet. We have video of it that I will post as soon as it gets done downloading.

It is so much fun to watch the kids grow and how you can see Mommy and Daddy in each of them, especially their personalities. I went through some pictures of me and Chad when we were kids and thought I would share them. I know my parents (Molly's side) haven't had a chance to see many pictures of Chad as a kid. I didn't pull any "baby" pictures from each of us, but looking through them, Sophie definitely looks like Daddy!

Happy Birthday, Brock!

We celebrated Brock's 4th birthday this past Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese. Brock and Ella had so much fun running around and playing all of the games. Uncle Adam took Brock around to show him what Chuck E. Cheese was all about. Sophie, on the other hand, didn't like the commotion at all. It was too much for her to take in at one time. She was so happy to be back home in her "normal" environment.

Brock woke up a little before 6:00 on his birthday (the 18th). I told him that we could do whatever he wanted for the entire day. He decided that he wanted to play computer games and then watch cartoons. He ran around and played with Ella for a little while, and then it was back to vegging out. I had activities planned for them to do, but since he doesn't get to play on the computer a whole lot, he wanted to take advantage of that. Daddy brought him home his traditional birthday doughnut and then he got to decide what we did for supper. He wanted to go to Burger King, so that's where we went. He is so excited to be 4 years old.

Brock's Birthday
Let's see how big you are...
He said that he wanted a spider cake for his b-day, so with
a little magic from Mommy and Daddy, a spider cake was created. The next morning, I told him there was a surprise for him in the fridge.
He wasn't expecting to see a huge spider staring at him. "Ahhhhh!"Having a ball at Chuck E. CheeseDaddy tilled up the garden on Sunday, and
Brock and Ella had a blast playing in the dirt.Brock rolling around in the dirt.
We had Brock's 4-year check-up today, and he is growing good. 60th percentile for both height and weight, so he is right at the 50th percentile for his body mass idex (just perfect!). Way to grow, Brock!

Sophie has now been rolling from her back to her tummy! Here is a video of her doing her crunches and leg lifts:

Snuggies for Everyone!

Chad brought me home the best birthday present ever - a SNUGGIE! I am sure all of you know what a snuggie is, but if by some chance you have never heard of it, it's a blanket with sleeves! Greatest invention ever! You're warm, you have your hands free to have a snack, and it keeps babies happy (it shows happy babies on the box).
Ella decided to go down the slide on her tummy.
She was only concerned with the mud on her hands.

Sophie Rolls!

Sophie is now rolling from her tummy to her back. She likes to lay on her back and do leg lifts and crunches. Chad says that she is already training because she sees what she'll be up against with her brother and sister. It's pretty funny to watch her. I will try and get it on video.
Ella got some new jammies this weekend! We strolled down to the store on Friday and just couldn't pass these up. She loves Dora and whenever she eats, everything is always "delicious," so these jammies were perfect for her. This is what she does when I say, "Hey, Ella. Can I take a picture of your new jammies?"
"EEEEEEE!" And then runs away from me.
"Can you stand up so I can see them?""Can you put your shirt down so I can see your jammies?"Then she proceeds to run back and forth in front of
me throwing the ball and laughing hysterically. Finally, I was able to get a picture of her in her new jammies.

Work Work Work!

We have been working diligently on our house projects the past few weeks. Thanks to Grandpa, Uncle Adam, Grammy, and Papa for all of the help! Here are some pictures of the progress we have made thus far.

We still have to hang the doors, finish putting up the molding, and Chad is going to build a unit for storage.

Here are some additional pictures from other areas of the house that are under construction.
