Random Thought of the Day

It's always nice when an older sister vomits all over her baby sister. Poor Sophie.

Little Biscuits

In case you were worried, nap time has become better for the children. Just a period of adjustment, I guess.

Brock told me this morning that he didn't want to go to preschool anymore and that he wanted to stay home and do fun things with me. Sadly, it made me feel good to know that I'm doing something right to make him want to stay here with me. =) I eventually talked him into how preschool is awesome and everyone will miss him if he doesn't go. We came to an agreement that he would go since it is only twice a week for a couple of hours.

Big Girl Bed

Well, Ella got a big girl bed and it is a NIGHTMARE! Doesn't help that she is temporarily sharing a room with Brock while construction is under way. Last night wasn't too bad, but it was trying times today at nap. They were in their room for a little over an hour before they actually laid down. I had to bring Brock into our room to sleep because Ella would try and wake him up if he dozed off. I think I had to go up there 7 times to break up the madness. Ahhhh! I am sure it will get better. They did great laying down tonight, but the true test will be nap tomorrow. On a more positive note, Sophie has slept through the night the past two nights. Wahoo!

We're all CRAZY!

Sophie is still adjusting to life in a crazy house.

Monday was Brock's first day of preschool. He adjusted so good to the new surroundings. The teacher said it was like he had been there forever. I was so proud that I just couldn't stop taking pictures. Believe me, there are 10 more pictures of the same pose that I didn't post.

So disappointed that she wasn't able to go to preschool with Brock.

Sophie Smiles

What a happy baby! Reminded me of a little ditty:

"Sophie smiles with the dawn
Sophie smiles and she radiates the glow around her halo
When she plays, Sophie smiles
On a summer day, Sophie smiles
A new day, Sophie smiles"

Cheers to 2009!

We took Sophie in for her clavicle check-up. The doctor was very impressed with the way she is healing. She has a little bump where the bone is healing, but that should go away once completely healed. She no longer has to be wrapped up and is loving the fact that she has two movable arms and can do tummy time. Yeah, Sophie!

We have all been sick for the past week. It starts off with the kids and ends with Chad. He is usually at work when he gets better, so luckily it doesn't cycle back around. It has been a week of snot, sneezes, and cartoons!

We spent New Year's Eve at home hanging with the kids. We made party hats to celebrate the New Year. The kids are a little too young and Mommy and Daddy are a little too old to stay up that late! Ha! I was excited to try to stay up late, but who am I kidding, I can barely make it through a movie. It was a fun night to say the least. Speaking of fun - Sophie has been a super sleeper! She has been sleeping six hours straight for the past four nights! We have heard a couple of coos out of her and seen a few smiles. It is so much fun watching her change every day.
